Dear students!

You are about to begin one of the most significant times in your life, it is with pleasure that I extend to you a warm welcome to the campus of Seth Motilal (PG) College. It is situated at the heart of the Jhunjhunu city, SML`S depth of character, traditions, diversity, commitment to academic excellence, as well as it`s lush green campus contribute to making it such an exemplary academic institute. It was started with degree level college in 1958 and post graduate level in 1981. Seth Motilal (PG) College has always been ahead in the field of education and was declared as the center of Excellence by the Government of Rajasthan in 2007, conferred as “College with Potential for Excellence” in 2009 and the “A” Grade (2011-16) College by NAAC, UGC in September 2011.

Seth Motilal College is duly considered for providing cutting-edge infrastructure to satisfy the educational and practical demands of its students and teachers. A well-stocked Seth Juthalal Central Library, Book Bank, Reading Room, Placement and Career Counseling Cell, SML Seminar Hall, Canteen Hall, Girl`s Hostel, Indoor stadium, Sports complex are among these resources. Eighteen Science labs are housed in the Science block. In addition to its high academic standards, the college has a thriving heritage of extracurricular activities. Our students balance their academic pursuits with participation in sports, debate, music and different cultural activities. The college seminar rooms and classes are equipped with high-tech equipment’s, the most up-to-date sound and projection technologies, provide for a wide range of academic and co-curricular interactions. In addition to academics, the college has smart class rooms in each faculty. We are the University's sole college with an international standards “Indoor stadium.” A large sports complex and various playrooms are also available to our athletes.

The greatest strength of the institution is it`s synergetic and supportive management, competent, dedicated and experienced faculty members who are always willing to engage with the students, mentor them and prepare them to become well-rounded individuals, ready to take challenges in their respective fields. We have equally capable and compassionate administrative staffs who always work as a team to make the college life a smooth experience for our students. We believe that the students and teachers together have the potential to shape and create a better society and we have a symbiotic relation with our students for moving in this direction. I assure you that after joining the college, each one of you will become an inseparable part of exuberant teaching-learning spirit of the institution, enriching it and getting enriched in the process. Our student counseling and placement cell is active in establishing liaison with Govt. and private sector for organizing job fairs to provide placement opportunities to our students.
